not so hot....

I've been preparing for a marathon the last 12 weeks or so and its been tough. The first month, I had to get used to jogging again (I started when Violet was about 6 weeks old). I had a lot of side pain. I think those pains are called "stiches". Then in July, my knees started hurting and they got worse up until the Pioneer Day 10K when I really beat them up. So, since then, I've replaced 3 of my 6 days of jogging with other exercises. Sometimes its Tae Bo, sometimes dance aerobics and strength training, sometimes elliptical. Even then, I've mixed it up more where I've jogged 2x a week and then 4x a week the next. So, my knees aren't as bad, but they STILL hurt. I'm also trying to stick to jogging on dirt and grass where I can but its difficult. I have exactly 1 month until the marathon. YIKES! Any suggestions?

<3 We love mom/grammers

Oh yes, we are NEVER silly! I love my mom.

Park time with friends

(Stop laughing sisters, Yes, I DO have friends!)
We were at the park last week with Hannah and her kids. Richard, her oldest was washing his shoe in the sprinklers. I'm with her 2nd, Eilee in the pic with Violet, and her youngest, Eliza, is in the bright pink shirt.

Its...............Sister time! August 11 @ IHOP

These were taken the day Danielle left us :( Ahhh, but notice how happy we are!!! Yes, we love you Dani!

outside our home

We love cool, cloudy days! Cliffton loves the sprinklers too, of course. I do wish it was a bit more kid-friendly around here though. The golf course is right next to us and sometimes golf balls come sailing close to our home. The hills are a bit too steep for him to explore much. But, the air is nice and.... the pool is open! Yea! I think I have some pictures of pool time later.

Heber City park - the temp. was about 65! Nice!

Throwing sand is fun to do....
slides and plastic horses are fun too.

our day at the park, end of July-ish

Good times with the kids and their Auntie Dani. I love Cliff's smile at the end, don't you?

:) temple square

The pictures by the reflection pond are just east of the Salt Lake City Temple. The Christus statue is in the north visitors center and the second-to-last picture is of Danielle and I in front of the Tabernacle. Isn't Danielle a babe? Go sister!

Our Temple Square visit

These pictures were taken on our tour of the conference center. Danielle, Bryana, the kiddos and I first went to the conference center and then to temple square. The first 3 were taken on top of the roof and the last 2 were inside.
