If only...

Wouldn't it be awesome if he could already do chores?  He did this willingly - he likes to copy us sometimes.

Hooray for sprinklers!!

Even though it was a bit chilly outside, Cliffton ran around and through the sprinklers at the park. We went down the slide together a few times which is fun. I had him in front of me for a few times and then I went first and sorta pulled him down after me and he was clutching my arm for dear life, the cutie.

Violet laughing?

I'm not sure if it was genuine laughter, but Violet was laughing 2 nights ago and she just melted her mama's heart! I think she has smiled at me a few times too. She's just over a month old and she's getting social already. She is too big for some of her 0-3 month stuff already which is surprising 'cause she sure doesn't look big to me.

talk to me

Cliffton has begun making sentences! Yea! In the last month or so he has put a few words together like "more cheese please." He's growin' up. And he is SO sweet to his new lil' sister. I love seeing him come up to her and pat her head and then say "Awwww, bebe." Too cute!

He still won't slide down by himself

But he will walk along the fence by himself.

Princess pics on Cliffie's birthday

Clifton's 2nd Birthday

We had a picnic lunch outside with some of Richard's family and my friend Bryana & then went to the Museum of Ancient Life @ Thanksgiving Point, Lehi, UT. The next day, Sunday, we had a lil' party for him and his all-time favorite activity that day was blowing out the candles. I think he loves fire almost as much as he loves water. Eventually, we did get him interested in actually opening presents, but let me tell you, that took some effort!

Our picnic by Deer Creek Reservoir 5/6/09

Cliffton ABSOLUTELY loves water. Even though his legs were turning blue from cold, he did not want to leave the shore of the lake to eat. We ate near a tree that had fallen & created a semi-buffer along the shoreline from the waves. Cliffie tried to step onto it a few times. Too slippery. Violet slept for most of the picnic. We had some yummy oven-fried chicken from yours truly and other tasty items.

Thanks Bryana! Thanks Michelle! Thanks Elizabeth!

My friend Bryana gave Violet a pink onesie that says, "If you think I'm cute you should see my mom." Cliffton received a shirt from her that said the same thing when he was little.
Richard's sister Michelle gave Violet some of the cutest lil' baby girl shoes. One of the pairs, pink ballet slippers, is modeled by Violet here.
My friend Elizabeth made the awesome pink blanket (along with a few other blankets and matching burp pads). Thank you so much lovely ladies!

so precious

Our daughter is here!

I love hospital gowns!  That picture of me and the gown was taken around 6pm the day beƒore she was born.  The rest are of Violet's birthday.
